The reason why it feels like an open-ended question is because it is. It is subject to change and it is a question that you should be asking yourself on a regular basis. Why?
- Not asking this question usually leads you to what you don't want.
- Most of the time, people won't ask you this question because they are hell bent on what they want (and what you need to do about what they want).
Even at the fast food joints, they make suggestions before they ask you what you want. "We have the new Red Hot Hamburger, would you like to try it?", then they take your order. It's called suggestive selling. You will find in your life that everyone seems to be expert suggestive seller.
So that is why this is a powerful question. You can respectfully decline suggestions without getting stark raving angry. When you don't clarify what you want and someone suggests something that you KNOW you don't want, you instantly wanna punch them in the eye!!!
What if you don't know what you want? I call Bullshit. You know. I know that you know. Whether or not you will admit to it is a matter of whether or not you want to grow in this life. Suppress it. It's okay, it'll resurface. I'll wait....... :)
